February 7, February 9 & February 10
Following up the success of my sold out 'She Did That.' film night and panel discussion in November, I am excited to announce my next event with yet another dope Black woman.
Social Entrepreneur. Branding Strategist. Motivational Influencer. Archel Bernard is a force and visionary, a savvy and relentless businesswoman, determined to use her expertise to build lives.
The owner of The Bombchel Factory and Mango Rags boutique in Monrovia, Liberia, Archel specializes in dreaming up contemporary African clothing, training disadvantaged women to sew her designs, and empowering them to become self-sufficient. Bombchel has been featured in The New York Times, CNN, Forbes, Fast Company, Al Jazeera Essence and other major news outlets.
Archel credits her happiness and success to her firm belief in manifesting the life and company she wants, and is passionate about sharing her experience and skills with women around the world.
Thursday, February 7, 6-8pm
Archel Bernard will share her journey as part of my new UNTOLD STORIES series. The presentation will be held at Bermuda Society of Arts at 6.30pm (doors open at 6), followed by mini-networking reception. Tickets are $35.
Saturday, February 9, ALL DAY
Archel and I will host a full -day retreat (9.45am-10pm) at a gorgeous property in Bermuda's West End. We are looking forward to creating a space for you to shape your story and enable you to manifest the life you want.
The morning will focus on mindfulness and gratitude. We’ll connect with each other through yoga, ceremony, and other interactive activities plus enjoy a healthy, yummy brunch! During the afternoon, you will dive into creating visions, affirmations, and intentions. These sessions will help you explore what you want for your future and develop tools and strategies to bring these dreams to fruition. The evening ritual will focus on releasing toxic thoughts, banishing self-doubt, and turning off the negative criticisms. To end this amazing retreat, we will enjoy a delicious and soulful dinner before bidding each other farewell.
For more information on the retreat, please email me.
Sunday, February 10, 11am-1pm
Join us for Brunch + Batik! Being hosted in the same private Somerset home as the retreat, we will host a brunch (with codfish breakfast amongst other faves) and a workshop. Inspired by the traditional West African Art of Batiking, you will choose a beautiful, handmade piece of Liberian tie dye and creative symbols to craft your own unique stamped sarong. There are only 20 spaces available! Tickets are at www.ptix.bm/bombchel.
